These pictures were taken this past Friday afternoon, the last day of work. The room was cleared of the scaffolding and cleaned up. It was a good feeling to see this room completely done. There is another room the same size on the other side. The ceiling is started there and will be finished by another work team. A lot of work has been done the past couple of weeks by local labor. The doors were hung in the bathrooms, a lot of electrical done, the lower level walls plastered, and generally the building cleaned up of trash.
We are leaving Monday, March 30 at about 10PM (that is 3PM EST) and arrive in Grand Rapids on March 31, 8:30 PM. Our experience here has been good and enjoyable. We have many highlights of the past three months. Thanks to all of you who have been viewing this blog and remembering us in your prayers. God has blessed us here in Kenya.

Yesterday, Sunday, March 22 we went to a Maasai village to visit and worship. This was about a three hour trip. The first part was on paved roads and the last was about 20 miles going 15-20 miles per hour for about one and a half hours. This area has not gotten rain for two years. They are praying for a lot of rain this coming rainy season since the community is constructiog a dam to give them water closer to where they live.
The top picture is Josiah Ole Kirisauh with his wife Sarah. The bags have the school supplies collected by our church. Josiah was very excited about the supplies we brought. Josiah was employed with BTL retiring a couple of years ago and now works in his own community of Oloilalei in community development and bringing the gospel to his people.
The next picture is one of the Maasai women. She was at the church service and visited with us later in the afternoon. We attended the church service for about an hour although the service is several hours long. The congregation welcomed us and prayed for us. The bottom picture was taken during the singing. We took a lot of pictures to remember our day and wish I could put them all on the blog but you will have to see them when we return home.
We will be leaving one week from today, March 30 and arriving home on the 31st.

We are not showing pictures of the ceiling again. We hope to post pictures of the completed ceiling in about two weeks just before we leave. This is a picture of Joan working on putting poly on the wood that goes on the ceiling. She worked this week with three others just finishing the wood and there still is another good weeks worth to do yet. It felt good for Joan to do some physical work and not sit in front of the computer.
We found that this week was more social with several other volunteers that arrived last week. Some of the evenings have been spent playing games. The last two weeks will go fast. We are looking forward to going home but want to get as much work done as possible before we leave.
